New Fila Labels
Dear Customer,
We are pleased to inform you that from April 2011 Fila began to renew the product labels, with a new layout and adapting them to the new CLP regulation.
This entails a very significant investment, greatly desired by the company in order to reinforce and improve product communication in sales outlets while simplifying sales to end-users and making the process easier.
It is envisaged that the updating of the labels of all the products in the Fila range will be completed in a time span of about a year and a half.
The company has also used the occasion offered by this project to upgrade the labels to the new CLP regulation which replaced the old system for Classifying and Packaging chemicals. The CLP regulation is Regulation (EC) no. 1272/2008 on the classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures and amends and abrogates directives 67/548/ EEC and 1999/45/EC and amends regulation (EC) no. 1907/2006 (REACH). This regulation envisages that from 01 December 2010 all raw materials must be classified, labelled and packaged in accordance with new guidelines, while with regard to formulations (the case with Fila) the coexistence of the new and old classification is permitted up until 01 June 2015.
Fila decided to bring this update forward as far as possible and prevent the presence in the warehouse of products with “non-compliant” labels at the legal deadline.
