FILA’s DETERDEK PRO has been nominated as a finalist in Tomorrow’s Tile & Stone Awards 2018 and Tomorrow’s Cleaning Awards 2018.  Both prestigious awards honour innovative products which have had the biggest impact on the industry over the past 12 months.

DETERDEK PRO is a best-selling, safe and fumeless ‘buffered acid’ detergent; it is a trusted solution and one that is solving new issues in today’s tiling sector.

Primarily used for post installation ‘builder’s cleans’, DETERDEK PRO removes cementitious deposits and building site dirt.  It’s designed for use on porcelain, ceramics and acid-resistant stone and its high performance formulation does not alter appearance. Unlike traditional descalers, DETERDEK PRO doesn’t contain hydrochloric acid (also known as muriatic acid), so it will not erode aluminium or steel - or present a hazard to users or the environment.

DETERDEK PRO also forms part of FILA’s new recommended care solution for large and extra-large format tiles, where it’s used to pre-clean the back of tiles before installation, as well as after fixing.   This new recommended pre-clean removes impurities and ensures good adhesion; imperative on large tiles were a continuous bond is required across the whole surface to ensure a successful installation.  Post installation, DETERDEK PRO can also be used as a DEEP CLEAN, as well as a residue remover and trouble shooter, where it removes lime deposits, saline efflorescence and rust stains.
