When terracotta, quarry tile or brick floors are installed, grout haze or efflorescence are sometimes left on the surface. It is essential to clean the surface with an appropriate product to prevent the stains from setting, making them difficult to remove in everyday cleaning.
For post installation cleaning of terracotta, FILA has developed one product specifically aimed at removing grout haze: DETERDEK Grout Haze Remover.
DETERDEK is not simple acids. It is a buffered acid effective in removing the polymer component (additive) in concrete based grout. In contrast with other acid cleaners on the market, it does not give off harmful fumes which are hazardous for the applicator and the environment, making it easy and safe to use.
