Torre Garibaldi B is one of the two 98-meter towers at Porta Nuova Garibaldi in Milan. Clad in glass and Portuguese limestone, the tower was restored and given a protective treatment in 2011. This was a spectacular example of an acrobatic intervention requiring specialist operators who slowly slid down from the top of the tower. The surface was first washed with a high pressure water jet cleaner and left to dry completely, then W68 was applied with an airless sprayer. Presently, the building is completely protected from the weather and able to resist rainfall up to a speed of 140 km an hour, guaranteeing the building’s splendor for years to come.
