How to use it
Surface Preparation: The concrete surface must be completely cured, structurally sound and clean before sealer application. Do not apply if standing water is visible.
The sealer must be applied at temperatures between 10ºC (50ºF) and 30ºC (86ºF).
Do not apply when the temperature is forecasted to fall below 10ºC (50ºF) or when rain is expected within 24 hours after application.Always test a small area with the product before application to confirm performance of the treatment on the material, the desired surface enhancement, coverage rate and application method.Application Instructions:Ready to use, no dilution necessary.Shake well before use.On a clean and dry surface, apply CONCRETE PRO-TECT uniformly using a large, flat paintbrush or lambswool applicator. Do not drip product on the surface, as it may cause uneven enhancement.Once the first coat has dried (after 4 hours), in case of absorbent surfaces, apply a second coat of the product using the same method. Clean tools with water immediately after use.The surface may be used for normal foot traffic after 8 hours.Full cure and maximum sealer protection is achieved in 24 hours.For indoor residential applications:When applying the product on indoor residential applications, a wax may be applied to change the finish of the surface and make daily maintenance easier.Use MATT for a matte effect and SATIN for a satin effect.For exteriors:The product should be applied annually to maintain the color enhancement in optimal condition.In case of smooth and polished surfaces, we recommend applying our high performance natural look sealer MP90 ECO XTREME (MP90 ECO PLUS).
If the product is applied incorrectly or the surface protection must be entirely restored, remove CONCRETE PRO-TECT with PS87 PRO (PS87). *Applying CONCRETE PRO-TECT to the concrete can help reduce the risk of spalling, corrosion and cracking on the surface caused by water damage, since it hinders the infiltration of water into the surface. The product does not reduce these effects when they are caused by structural weakness, poor construction practices, alkali-aggregate reaction (AAR), chemical exposure, abrasion and wear, deterioration of surrounding materials, or other causes. The product will not prevent the penetration of water through unsound or cracked surfaces. Do not apply CONCRETE PRO-TECT on smooth or polished concrete. Test the product on a small, inconspicuous area to check the product’s compatibility with the surface before treatment. Product application is not recommended in humid environments or any place with standing water. If the product is applied on groutless installations, the protection refers exclusively to the top surface of the tile. Given the wide variety of concrete materials, we recommend testing the product on a small area of the surface before full application to check for any color changes. For regular and heavy-duty cleaning and maintenance, do not use alkaline degreasing cleaners. Proper application is the responsibility of the user. Any use or application other than those recommended in the Technical Data Sheet are the sole responsibility of the user. The product does not protect against acid attacks.
