Treatments for Slates

Slates

Slate is a particular variety of sedimentary-origin metamorphic rock that is mainly black or grey, can also be found in green, burgundy or multi-colour versions. It is a very strong, compact stone, highly resistant to the elements and wear and naturally waterproof. Slate from Italy contains a significant amount of calcium carbonate and is therefore sensitive to acid washes, which tend to turn the material grey.

Select the finish of your slate and configure the best cleaning, protection and maintenance treatment.
