Hotel Roma

Italy

Rain and bad weather, but above all the hot sun that day after day shines down on the columns in Verona red marble agglomerate, had dried out the surface, bleaching the material so that it almost looked different from that cladding the façade of the hotel inside the colonnade. The stuccoed travertine side columns were also showing their age: black dirt from the road and smog had penetrated deep down into the material, dulling its natural shine. The task of restoring the material to its original brilliance was commissioned to the treatment specialist Alberto Sgarbossa, a young, highly-motivated expert who often works with FILA. The Verona red marble and pale travertine were washed with PS87 PRO, eliminating all the dirt that had accumulated over the years. The Verona red marble was then protected with STONEPLUS, the colour-enhancing protector for natural stone, marble, granite and agglomerates. Meanwhile, the pale travertine was protected with MP90, the ideal stain protector against dirt and graffiti.
