FILA’s Anti-Slip Solution in Focus at the Surface Design Show 2026
FILA Solutions UK will be exhibiting at the Surface Design Show 2026, taking place from 3–5 February at the Business Design Centre in Islington, London. Drawing on our long-standing experience in surface care, protection, and maintenance, FILA will use the show to demonstrate how our targeted treatments can help address real-world design and specification challenges without compromising material aesthetics.
Representing our team at the show will be Martin, Country Coordinator for the UK and Ireland, who will deliver two focused presentations across the three days. Each session will explore practical, specification-led solutions for high-performance architectural surfaces, drawing on FILA’s extensive technical expertise and field-tested products.
One of the key highlights will be PROGRIP, FILA’s professional anti-slip treatment designed for porcelain, ceramic, granite and other siliceous stone surfaces. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, FILA’s new non-slip system increases surface friction without forming a film or altering the material's appearance. Martin will explain where and when anti-slip treatments should be specified, in particular, for granite, including outdoor walkways, steps, entrances, wet areas and pool surrounds, as well as how this surface safety solution can be used to correct design oversights where slip resistance has been underestimated. Attendees will also gain insight into correct testing, application and aftercare to ensure even, reliable results.
Alongside PROGRIP, Martin will also be presenting SALVATERRAZZA® ECO, FILA’s water-based consolidating anti-infiltration sealer, certified by Eurofins. Designed to address water ingress without invasive works, this sealer penetrates deeply into cracks and fissures up to 1 mm, mineralising and strengthening the substrate while remaining fully breathable. The product is widely used on terraces, balconies and exposed exterior surfaces, as well as within heritage and conservation settings, where structural protection and material integrity are critical. Its low environmental impact formulation makes it particularly relevant for sustainability-driven projects.
Visitors to the FILA stand can expect clear, practical guidance grounded in real site conditions, with an emphasis on correct product choice, specification support and long-term surface performance. FILA’s team will also be on hand to discuss broader surface care strategies across stone, porcelain and engineered materials.
With thousands of senior architects, designers, and specifiers in attendance, the Surface Design Show 2026 provides our team with the ideal setting to connect directly with professionals seeking proven, technically robust surface solutions.
If you are planning to attend this year, registration is free and can be completed in advance. We look forward to welcoming visitors again this February.
