Chelsea Barracks, located in the heart of Belgravia, represents one of the most ambitious residential developments in London. Costing £3 billion, the scheme combines exceptional craftsmanship with world-class sustainability credentials, and in 2021, it became one of only 16 developments worldwide to achieve LEED Platinum certification.
As part of Phase 4, Building 8, Chiltern Contracts delivered extensive stone installation works, fitting a range of premium marbles throughout the interiors. The materials included Calacatta Caldia, Breccia Capria, Taj Mahal, Ombre di Caravaggio, Calacatta Apuano, Imperial Grey Collemandina, and Calacatta Vagli, each chosen for its distinctive tone and veining.
To protect and enhance these surfaces, Chiltern Contracts applied FILA's MP90 ECO XTREME and STONEPLUS. MP90 ECO XTREME provides advanced stain resistance for polished marble while maintaining full breathability and a natural finish. Its low-VOC, solvent-free formulation also supports the project's sustainability goals. STONEPLUS was then used to bring out the natural depth and colour of specific feature stones, adding warmth and definition in key areas such as reception spaces and lift lobbies.
For ongoing maintenance, FILA's professional-grade cleaners were recommended to ensure long-term performance. CLEANER PRO was specified for the routine cleaning of bathroom and kitchen floors, offering safe, effective daily care without leaving residues. On kitchen worktops and vanity tops, CLEAN&SHINE was advised for regular upkeep, with MARBLE REFRESH supplied as an alternative for gentle surface renewal.
The result is a development that not only showcases the finest materials and craftsmanship but also highlights the importance of correct protection and maintenance. Through FILA's eco-conscious solutions, Chelsea Barracks continues to stand as an enduring example of how luxury and sustainability can work beautifully together.
