Fila has completed treatment of one of the most awe-inspiring skyscrapers in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates: the Nation Towers. This building, comprises a luxury 5-star hotel, apartments, offices and shopping centres, all housed in two towers linked by the highest suspension bridge in the world, 202 metres off the ground. The external walls, clad in flame-treated, polished, black and white granite, were first washed with Deterdek PRO, the acid-based descaling detergent specific for washing after laying, then protected with HYDROREP ECO, the water-based water-repellent protector. The most eco-friendly possible materials have been used for this project, hence the choice of HYDROREP ECO protector: a water-based product, with low environmental impact (VOC free) and LEED certification, the international rating system that guarantees a building’s environmental sustainability.
