Square Nine, the first international luxury hotel in Belgrade, was inaugurated at the start of the year. The owners chose FilaService as the ideal partner for protecting the almost 4000 m² of Italian beige limestone used for many of the floors, walls and tops. FilaService, the Fila corporate division that deals with large-scale international projects, supervised the entire job: from testing on materials and mock-ups, right through to treatment. Most of the surfaces in the hotel were involved in the treatment process: all the limestone floors and the walls in the bedrooms,dining rooms, public areas and well-being zone. Natural-effect W68 was chosen for walls requiring a waterproof stain-protecting treatment. While bathroom tops in polished stone were treated with naturaleffect stain-protector MP90. Floors were given a basecoat of W68 protector followed by natural-effect MATT wax. The relaxation area near the pool was treated with HYDROREP and FOB XTREME, the ideal products for surfaces in continual contact with water. Thanks to these processes, all the surfaces are now protected from stains and infiltration and the natural colour of the stone has been enhanced to give the rooms a prestigious elegant look.
